Review by hotel critic
Rani Kothi Heritage Residency provides a unique blend of historical charm and value. Nestled away from the bustling city life, this property offers a serene escape with the scenic Kanchanjangha mountains as a backdrop. While the approach is a bit narrow, once you arrive, the spacious grounds allow for a sense of privacy; our group of nine had the whole property to ourselves. The rooms are equipped with essential amenities, including a flat-screen TV, an electric kettle, and free toiletries, making it feel like a lavish holiday home without the extravagant price tag. I particularly appreciated the in-room breakfast and the option for additional meals at reasonable prices, which reminded me of home-cooked comfort food. Kshitij and Rinchen were exceptional, ensuring our comfort and fulfilling requests with ease. While the scenic beauty is stunning, I do feel Rs. 8500 per night might be a touch high—just balance your expectations with the experience and history on offer. It’s worth considering for those looking to unwind.
